PREPARATION OF POTASH FERTILIZER FROM LOCAL MINERAL RAW MATERIALS BY METHOD OF TEMPERATURE AND ACID ACTIVATION


Purpose of the development: A new method of producing potash fertilizers for agriculture.

Recommended application field: The studies can be used to develop new complex fertilizers based on natural potassium-containing minerals at existing plants for the production of fertilizers.

Advantages over analogues: The proposed scheme of production require less capital investment and energy costs.

Were carried out research work on the development of processing technology hydromicas to maximize transfer of potassium minerals in soluble form. On the basis of these studies has been proposed technological scheme of chlorine-free potassium-based fertilizers from mineral ores. Technological scheme is based on the complex activation of raw acid and heat treatment. As a result of studies on the kinetics of these processes has been chosen the best option activation: treatment hydromica sulfuric acid concentration of 55% at a temperature of 450 ° C. Under these conditions, a soluble form becomes almost 70% of its total potassium content in the samples. Carried out physico-chemical studies have an idea of the mechanism of the process of destruction of the mineral. Hydronium ions H3O + for the activation of the mineral acid destroy octahedral mineral component and may be released ions of aluminum, magnesium, iron, as well as exchange ions in the interlayer space, especially potassium ions and divalent ions of other metals. Consequently, the crystal produces a lot of lattice defects, significantly increases its surface area. The speed of this process increases significantly with increasing temperature.
