WAYS OF INCREASING OF PRODUCTIVITY OF NATURAL GRASSLAND IN THE FOOTHILLS OF THE CARPATHIANS CONDITIONS

Description of the development:
() Natural grasslands are the base of forage production in the foothills and mountainous parts of the Carpathians. The main way to increase the productivity of natural grassland is the use of mineral fertilizers. But excessive use can have a negative impact on the quality of feed, groundwater, impoverish the rich floristic composition of meadow cenoses, which are a valuable feature of forage land foothills of the Carpathians. In addition, in the current context of making a significant amount of expensive mineral fertilizers, especially nitrogen, not only is not always justified, but also economically inefficient. Scientists in overseeding turf seeds lotus horned, clover and hybrid mixtures studied the effect of these crops on yield and botanical composition of natural hayfields foothills of the Carpathians. according to the results
four years of research developed a way to increase productivity and enrich the floristic composition of herbs legumes native grasslands in this region. For four years, the use of output ukosnom dry weight increased on average from 3.04 to 4.4 t / ha, while the proportion of grasses legumes as part of the green mass increased from 18.8% in the natural herbage to 30.6% in the stand after his improvement. With the inclusion of herbs legumes significantly increased productivity of natural grasslands: improve the nutritional value of vegetation, animals eat better than a grass, there is increased binding of atmospheric nitrogen, activated by microbial processes in the soil. Also found that sitting down in turf seed lotus horned clover and hybrid on the effect on the yield equivalent to the annual introduction of 48 kg / ha of active ingredient of mineral nitrogen fertilizers.
