METHOD FOR EVALUATING OF SOIL POLLUTION

Purpose of the development: Development allows agricultural producers to determine the content of heavy metals in soils and crop rotations in the case of detection of high-level set of recommendations on the possibility of further cultivation of various crops, with which you can reduce the level of pollution (soy, lupins, peas, etc.) .

Recommended application field: Agriculture.

Advantages over analogues: The developed method is different from the existing ones, that determination is made by sequential extraction until the absence of metal in the final portion of the filtrate, which ensures reliable assessment of the ability of the soil to an accumulation of this metal. The proposed method provides a reliable indicator of soil pollution with heavy metals caused by anthropogenic impacts on agro-ecosystems, contributes to the deepening of agro-ecological monitoring, reduces the risk of unpredictable environmental problems.

The development stage readiness: Introduced in production

Technical and economic effect: In 2013 was held the ecotoxicological assessment of soils in the area of 3000 hectares in RCS "horns" in Tarashchansky district of Kiev region. As a result of this work is not revealed areas in excess of the 30% saturation of the soil with lead, cadmium, nickel, copper. However, 50 m from the warehouse of agrochemicals found an area of 3 hectares, where the rate of saturation of copper was 81%. To improve the efficiency and safety of ecotoxicological farmland farms the area is recommended for the cultivation of industrial crops.

Description of the development:
()
The soils have specific properties to absorb and retain the chemicals and elements, including the heavy metals (TM). Migration and sorption that contribute to their mobility in the soil depends on many factors, primarily on the type of the soil itself. Different types of soil toxicity level of TM may differ materially. Increase in the proportion of organic matter and silt in the composition of the soil reduces the migration ability of TM. While TM are difficult to plant form and are an integral part of the soil of their mobility is limited, but when changing ground conditions when TM can go to a soluble form, there is a danger of their arrival in the trophic chain. Therefore important to determine the saturation of the soil TM. Developed a method of estimating soil pollution by determining its saturation mobile forms of TM. It includes selection of sample air dry soil, which was subsequently extracted with a solution of 1-n. HCl. Each of the extracts obtained by sequentially determining the concentration of the metal, then finds the sum of the concentrations in all the extracts. Saturation soil mobile forms of TM is calculated as the ratio of the concentration of the element in the first drawing to the sum of the concentrations of all subsequent extracts, expressed as a percentage. If this figure is greater than 50%, it indicates the dangers of migration element in the adjacent environment: agricultural crops, natural water and so on. Development is protected by patents.
