Potato variety Strumok obtained by crossing interspecific hybrid 92.306 / 3 grade Tiras. Its growing season - 88 days. When tested on experimental plots his harvest on the 60th day after planting was 187 kg / ha (was at grade Tiras and 26 t / ha higher than the grade Serpanok). The total yield of tubers of varieties grown by the Institute in 2007 and 2008, at the end of the growing season averaged 468 kg / ha (was 75 t / ha higher than the yield varieties Tiras), an NGO "Chernigovelitkartofel" - 486 kg / ha (in 118 kg / ha higher than grade Tiras), in the Carpathian reference point - 407 kg / ha (121 kg / ha higher than grade Tiras), at the Institute of agriculture of the Southern region - 135 kg / ha (105 kg / ha higher than the yield-grade standard). Strumok has a high resistance to drought. The average yield in the former Institute of Agriculture of the Southern region UAAN (2007, 2008) for the spring planting and harvesting in late June was 186 kg / ha (8 t / ha higher than the grade Tiras), and for the summer planting freshly harvested tubers - 104 p / ha (10 t / ha higher than the grade Tiras) and is the same as grade Logger. The starch content in tubers - 16.5%, crude protein 2.4% - vitamin C - 17.6 mg% reducing sugar - 0.10 carotenoid content of 0.17 mg% was higher than the grade TIRAS. Taste qualities are good - 4.2 points. Tubers are oblong-oval, pink, creamy flesh, red-purple flowers; tubers slightly boiled soft. The variety is resistant against conventional (D1) and aggressive (11) biotypes of cancer (according to Ukrainian VAT Plant Quarantine), stem nematode and rusty spot, relatively resistant kvirusnym and bacterial diseases, late blight and Alternaria. Potato varieties Strumok recommended to grow in all regions of Ukraine. 2012 was sort of the state variety testing, the results of which are listed in the National Register of plant varieties that are suitable for distribution in Ukraine.
