MULTI BIO TOUCH DEVICE BASED ON SOLID ION-SENSITIVE FIELD-EFFECT TRANSISTORS "ISFET-2"


Purpose of the development: Express analysis of the biochemical composition of the aqueous solutions and the recognition of individual chemicals, including toxic (heavy metal ions, chlorinated and organophosphate pesticides).

Recommended application field: 1 Environmental monitoring: determination of the total toxicity of solutions and simultaneous selective determination of some toxic substances, such as formaldehyde, hypochlorite, organophosphorus pesticides, carbamate herbicides, heavy metal ions. 2 Control of food quality: determination of natural pollutants (steroid glycoalkaloids) in foods (fruits, vegetables). 3 Diagnosis in medicine: rapid identification of the main metabolites person (glucose, urea, creatinine) in biological fluids (blood, serum or plasma, urine).

Technical characteristic: Number of channels: 12 (2x6). Working volume of the flow system: 200 l. Time of a single measurement: 0.1 sec. Operating temperature range: 0-40 ° C. The time required for biochemical analysis, not more than 10 min. Automatic feeding of analytes with rate: 5 l - 200 ml / min. Serial interface: RS232. Software: Win 9X, DOS. Power supply: 12V / 0.2A.

Description of the development:

The device contains five sensing elements. Each sensing element comprises a field effect transistor sensitive to the pH of the medium, with a working diaphragm and a field effect transistor sensitive to a parameter of pH, with the control membrane. Working diaphragm sensing element contains one of the enzymes that are sensitive to toxic substances. As these enzymes are used acetylcholinesterase buterilholinesteraza, urease, glucose oxidase, mutarotase and invertase, glucose oxidase. The control membrane contains bovine serum albumin. The outputs of the sensor element are connected to the inputs of the device for potentiometric analysis. The device is used in scientific institutions of Ukraine, in particular: the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics, NAS of Ukraine carried out a study on the rapid determination of toxic substances in aqueous solutions and the major metabolites in physiological solutions (blood, serum or plasma, urine); at the Institute of Biochemistry of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for biochemical analysis of substances.
