Advantages over analogues: The main advantages of improved screens and cassettes over existing are: • better quality of treated water, which is supplied to irrigators mashinі; • less than half the weight of steel structures; • 1.5 times higher than their strength and durability; • 60% lower operating costs for annual maintenance and anticorrosive treatment; • 50% less complexity in the operation; • longer (up to 30 years) life.

The development stage readiness: Introduced in production

Technical and economic effect: Prototypes of intake screens and filter cartridges are installed and operated at the pumping stations and Kahovsky Akimov inter-water management in Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions.

Lattice and cassettes, which are now operated, due to wear caused by corrosive and abrasive processes, lost their load-bearing capacity and are not able to ensure the quality of water for the reliable operation of sprinklers. In addition, annual maintenance of existing intake screens and filter cartridges require significant operating costs associated with the use of special lifting equipment for the removal and installation of cassettes, as well as inefficient use of manual labor for cleaning, anti-corrosion treatment of metal gratings, washing and loading rubble, repair of metal with a full or partial replacement of individual elements. Intake screen and filter cassettes are made of a new design technology molded grating, followed by hot-dip galvanized. Filter material for the manufacture of cassettes elected polymer network of high strength, which is properly fastened to the base frame.
