METHOD FOR THE CHROMATOGRAPHIC DETERMINING OF PRIMARY AMINES


Purpose of the development: The invention relates to the field of analytical chemistry, the analysis of organic substances and can be used for the analysis of primary amines, a class of organic compounds that are widely used in industry, agriculture, in all spheres of human life, are of natural, artificial and synthetic origin.

Recommended application field: The method can be used to determine the amines in the manufacture of dyes, corrosion inhibitors, surfactants, flotation agents, drugs, vulcanization accelerators, pesticides, which are synthesized from amines. Can also be used for the determination of primary amines in water, soil, environmental objects. The method can be used in all factory, research, control and toxicology laboratories.

Advantages over analogues: The proposed method is convenient and fast, compares favorably with the well-known domestic and foreign analogues previously proposed methods of analysis and can be carried out on a liquid chromatograph with spectrophotometric or diode array detector.

A method for determining the primary amine is based on the fact that the first primary amines are recovered from solutions or solid samples by steam distillation or thermal concentration, more in mixtures of aprotic organic solvents with water derived from primary amines diazotized 4-nitroaniline was converted to the azo, wherein during the reaction at pH 5.5-8.5 and under normal conditions, azo starting amines irrespective of the nature of the organic group is converted to 1, 3-bis (4-nitrophenyl) -triazen, whereupon it is carried spectrophotometric determination, the results of which determine the total content of primary amines. In particular, the determination is carried out by adding to the resulting triazenes alkali solution to a pH greater than 12 measuring its light absorbance in a spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 532-537 nm, followed by calculation. Development implemented for conducting analytical studies in Uzhgorod State Border Control and the toxicology laboratory.
