HEATSINK OF LANDER SPACECRAFT SYSTEM


Purpose of the development: The system based on heat removal heat pipe is designed to provide optimal thermal conditions of the lander spacecraft.

Recommended application field: Space instrument.

Technical characteristic: High heat transfer characteristics: a minimum thermal resistance of 0.4-0.8 K / W, the effective thermal conductivity of 20-30 * 1000 W / m * K, the transfer of heat fluxes up to 20 watts. Ability to work at low temperatures (down to -60 gr.tsel). Low weight: one tube with the flanges does not exceed 130 g

Advantages over analogues: Ability to work under conditions of weightlessness. The absence of external energy sources and mechanisms for pumping coolant. The absence of noise and vibration during operation of heat pipes, which is made on the basis of the system.

Description of the development:

The system has the capability of varying the parameters of the capillary-porous structure and the application of different heat transfer fluids for optimum heat transfer characteristics of the heat pipe. The developers can be custom manufactured heat pipe on which the system is designed, any configuration depending on the geometry of the object for which they are intended. The developed system will be installed on the spacecraft, which is being developed by the German company DLR under the project "MASCOT". The need for external investment to complete the project - 400 thousand. USD. Payback period - 2 years.
