MODERN TECHNOLOGIES FOR REDUCE THE LOSS OF METAL ON NADLIVY
Purpose of the development:
Developed technology designed to reduce unproductive losses of metal on the breakdown for castings weighing up to 50,000 kg of various types of alloys.
Recommended application field:
Foundry.
Advantages over analogues:
In the application of the proposed technology EDESHO nonmetallic inclusions float to the top and remain in the slag bath, which provides a higher quality of metal compared with serial technology.

Technical and economic effect:
Cost-effectiveness of introducing technology EDESHO increases with increasing energy costs. This is because the electric heater only compensate the heat loss from the melt fracture in the environment.
When power is due to shrinkage of the casting metal, which was previously filled up more of the oven, you need to spend energy for heating, melting and overheating of the alloy.
Description of the development:
() Developers set the boundary conditions for the use of exothermic mixtures and cracked forms of thermal insulation materials. For castings weighing more than 1000 kg, the duration of hardening over 180 minutes, the technology combined electro-arc heating (EDESHO) nadlivov castings and ingots.
When it is used at JSC "Dnepropetrovsk plant of rolls" and the NGO "Association for the production Lutuginsky rolls" spending on metal fracture reduced 2.5-3.0 times, are not formed shrinkage defects in castings and ingots, declining marriage cracks.
