Boron carbide, which has a complex chemical, physical and mechanical properties, is widely used in modern technology, being very durable material (in the third position among the known abrasives), it is indispensable in the nuclear industry in the production of protective screens, is used as an alloying element modifier in steel production, exhibits ultra high chemical stability in corrosive environments. A technology for smelting high-quality boron carbide, which includes: - New design electric furnace smelting unit providing any necessary mass; - A device that allows you to extract block boron carbide from the oven without removing it from the case; - Technological parameters of the preparation of the mixture components to heat; - Conducting the electrical parameters of the process to ensure optimal concentrations of electrical energy in the reaction zone. Smelted boron carbide in the form of marketable fractions or grinding powder contains: B4C - 96,0; Markups - 78; Sobsch - 21; Ssvobod. - 1.0; V2O3- 1.0; Si - 0,3; Fe - 0,5; N - 0,5. Boron nitride - polymorphic compound. There are three modifications of boron nitride, which have received industrial applications: a hexagonal graphite-like, hexagonal wurtzite-like, cubic sphalerite-like. All modifications have unique properties and are used in many industries. Boron nitride good insulator, heat insulator, non-toxic, inert with respect to molten metal and slag. However, it is mainly used for the synthesis of superhard materials: Borazon, cubic boron nitride. A technology for the synthesis of boron nitride necessary modifications for the new two-stage karbomidnoy technology that includes new hardware design and provides stable reception of boron nitride with the following composition,%: Boron nitride - 98,0-98,9; boria - B203 0.2-0.3; iron - 0.02-0.1; wurtzite-like - BNv 95,5-96,1; graphite-like - BNg 2.0-2.5; surface area - 7 m / h.
