Description of the development:
() The main component of silumin and aluminum-silicon alloys, manufactured on the basis thereof, is aluminum - metal with important features that determine its ever-increasing production. Currently, more than half of all casting alloys is prepared on the basis of silumin.
Authors technology 1960s engaged in the development of effective technological schemes of production of aluminum based alloys, including silumina electrothermal method.
Currently, a method of co mastered reduction of oxides of aluminum oxide and silicon carbon charge materials to give an intermediate alloy containing 30-35% Si, which is then fused to metallurgical conditioned silumin.
For aluminum-silicon alloys electrothermal way as the oxide charge materials used natural materials containing oxides of aluminum and silicon, as well as food processing and enrichment materials. The reducing agent is used primarily coal with a high volatile content, and petroleum coke.
In addition to casting alloys mastered the technology of production of master alloys based on aluminum and silicon, which are widely used as integrated steel scavengers.
