Purpose of the development: Waste water technology electroplating can be used in combined systems for the integrated treatment of waste water from leaching operations and basic technological operations.

Recommended application field: Steel mills, electroplating.

Technical characteristic: Separation of waste water electroplating on the following streams: - sweet and alkaline wastewater 1st category - metal-containing wastewater containing soft cations with high charge, hydrating which form colloidal solutions hydroxycomplexes; - Sweet and alkaline wastewater second category - metal-containing wastewater containing metal ions with amphoteric properties; - Sweet and alkaline wastewater category 3 - metal-containing waste water containing hard cations that although hydrolyzed, but they are strong bases.

The development stage readiness: Ready for application

Technical and economic effect: Separation of wastewater streams as given chemical acid-base and redox properties, provides cost reduction commercial reagent, additional reduction in wastewater pollution and efficiency of purification by metal ions is up to 99%.

To implement the proposed technology is justified classification division electroplating wastewater into separate streams, taking into account the structural changes that occur in an aqueous system, associated with hydration, chemical vapor deposition processes of complex formation. Separation of wastewater streams as chemical reagents with the acid-base and redox properties, provides optimal conditions for their processing, as it allows to influence various physical and chemical processes that occur in wastewater treatment from heavy metal compounds. Adjusting the pH and Eh, i.e. acid-base and redox properties can change potential direction, speed chemical reactions, redox active compound in the solution, the strength of the complex compounds. Thus provides optimal conditions for their handling and increase the effectiveness of the technology.
