LASER SCANNING DEVICE


Purpose of the development: Laser display on the flat surface of the graphic information of high brightness and clarity.

Recommended application field: Recently, optoelectronics are increasingly beginning to be used in the field of art- and show business, where great importance is given to brightness, spectacularly in the organization of cultural events, concerts and shows in open areas, stadiums and squares. In addition, laser scanners are a great support to promotions, presentations, providing an effective and dynamic contrast display advertising information by designing logos, images and textual information of trademarks or brands.

Technical characteristic: Power supply: 220 V, 50 Hz. Power Consumption: 15 W ± 10%. The optical power of the laser emitter: 60 mW ± 5%. Response time XY scanning: 35 ms ± 20%. The operating wavelength of the optical radiation: 658 nm (0.658 m). Support for communication interfaces: RS-232, IrDa. Frequency sweep frames: 15-25 fps (frame / s). Possible frequency modulation of the laser beam: 0-4 kHz.

Lasers add a unique and unforgettable spectacle of public events of any size. Based on the source and passing over the audience, laser beam effects allow you to make a unique "light sculptures" that gives the impression of virtual surround the 2-D and 3-D space, as well as strobe, wave and other types of effects. There is a growing use of lasers due to the obvious benefits of radiation: brightness, monochromatic, high directivity. This allows for design on the flat surface of the graphic information of high brightness and clarity. Bright and contrasting laser images are created by scanning laser beams on the flat surfaces - work on the screen or in a smoky space - work on volume. Designed laser scanner consists of: 1) unit of the microcontroller ATMEL AT89S52; 2) feedback unit to stabilize the frequency scanning mirrors based optocouplers with open optical channel, which are mounted on electric XY scanning; 3) block communication with a PC-based interface 232 (UART MAX232); 4) ADC, PWM modulation and conversion with operational amplifiers and LD293 KT972 transistor switches; 5) remote control unit with infrared remote control; 6) an optical system consisting of two electric XY Cartesian scan. As a laser oscillator used by the laser module on the basis of the semiconductor laser (n / n) diode optical power Ropt = 60 mW and a wavelength of 658nm (red). The task of the laser display is reduced to precise control of light beams in space and organization of the interface connecting a computer with a laser scanner, requires the use of high-speed electronic channels with the possibility of operational data from a PC. All this is implemented in the developed laser scanning device.
