FIBER OPTIC INFORMATION-ENERGY INTERFACE-CHANNEL


Purpose of the development: Simultaneous transmission of the information data and power supply to the terminal equipment on a single optical fiber.

Recommended application field: 1. The transmission of information along with the proper power in biomedical probes that are introduced internally in the human body during operations on the heart and other internal organs. 2. The transmission of information and power to the sensors in hazardous locations and premises, as well as information transfer and power supply to the end nodes of fiber-optic communication lines (fiber optic). 3. Remote transmission of information-energy component to the sensors and test equipment in areas with high electric potential (a chain of high and ultra-high levels of stress, such as power lines). 4. The highly confidential information transmission, along with the energy supply and to ensure high information security channel in information protection systems, etc..

Technical characteristic: The developed device is carried out fully optical power of the receiving unit from the optical power of the channel. Transmission of information and energy component is implemented at two wavelengths: l inform = 658nm (0.658mkm - red) for information and spectral channel l power = 785nm (0.785mkm - near infrared). The optical power of the light source information channel P inform = 5mW, light source power - P power = 300mW.

In modern technology, there are a number of problems that require collaborative remote transmission of information and energy supply over the communication channel. In most cases this is carried on channels in the transmission medium which are metallic conductors. However, in some cases, is necessary to ensure complete neutrality of the channel in relation to the environment, galvanic isolation of ultra high insulation resistance to avoid electrostatic interference on the environment. To effectively solve this problem can be used designed the layout of fiber-optic information-energy channel interface that provides simultaneous transmission of information data and power supply to the target device on a single optical fiber using an optical wavelength division multiplexing WDM (Wave Dіvіsіon Multіplexіng) channels on different wavelengths. The device uses a specialized multimode polymer (POF) optical fiber (RH) with a core diameter of 500 microns. The device works like a normal installer, except that the energy power of the receiving unit takes place remotely from the spectral energy of the optical channel wavelength 0.785mkm, allowing it to be used for experimental studies of information transmission and power supply in the fiber.
