LIGHTNING PROTECTION SYSTEM OF POLYMER COMPOSITES FOR AIRCRAFT


Purpose of the development: Using the designed collector covers the outer surface of the aircraft ensures the reliability of flights in areas critical to lightning and makes a significant contribution to improving the life of all-weather operation of aircraft.

Recommended application field: Aviation equipment.

Advantages over analogues: - Circular knitted wire sizes and knit-soldered meshes more evenly distribute electrical charges compared with a rectangular cross-section of the structural elements stretch foil; - Elastic knitted mesh eyes ability to stretch without breaking; - A low melting solder, wire mesh covering, when heated evaporates and reduces thermal component of a lightning strike; - Elm-soldered structure promotes relaxation of mechanical loads and prevents significant stratification and destruction of the composite.
