Magna-Mike 8600 - is a portable thickness using a simple magnetic method for the qualitative measurement of the thickness of non-magnetic materials. Procedure for measuring the thickness using a Magna-Mike is very simple. Measurements are made by a magnetic sensor disposed on one side of the tested article, and a steel ball (or washer wire segment) inserted into the container or other article. Magnetic sensor using Hall effect, measures the distance to the ball. Measurement results are immediately displayed on the screen of a thickness gauge. Thickness Magna-Mike Model 8600 easy to use handheld device for measuring the thickness of non-magnetic materials. This method is most effective when measuring on curved surfaces with a minimum radius of curvature and areas difficult products.
