MODIFIERS FOR OBTAINING OF DUCTILE IRON
Purpose of the development:
It developed and implemented a unique technology of smelting modifiers optimal formulations based on Mg, Si, Fe for ductile cast iron with nodular and compacted graphite.
Recommended application field:
Metallurgical production.
Advantages over analogues:
- High (93-95%) yield of usable (by weight of the charge);
- Stable maintenance elements, the deviation from the desired content,%: Mg ± 0,2 ... 0,5; Ca ± 0,1 ... 0,3; rare earth metals (REM) ± 0,1 ... 0,2; Si ± 3 ... 5;
- The absence of the pyroelectric effect, and smoke during the melting process.

Description of the development:
() Modifier comprising silicon, calcium, magnesium, rare earth metals, copper, iron, further contains aluminum, barium and manganese which increases the dissolution rate modifier and improving strength characteristics of the iron castings.
