VACUUM MAGNETOHYDRODYNAMIC SYSTEM FOR THE SEMI-CONTINUOUS INGOTS CASTING FROM ALUMINUM ALLOYS
Purpose of the development:
- Preparation of alloys with melting alloy components and simultaneous electromagnetic stirring;
- Heating and temperature control of the liquid alloy with its electromagnetic mixing;
- Vacuum refining of the electromagnetic stirring;
- Modification of the alloy with its electromagnetic mixing;
- Filtration of molten alloy through a porous ceramic filter;
- Software adjustable electromagnetic casting the molten alloy into a mold with a low heat nozzle;
- Adjustable speed control of casting;
- Temperature control of the molten alloy during casting of the ingot in the mold;
- Creation of a protective atmosphere above the surface of the alloy during casting ingot crystallizer.

Foundry.

() Installation is equipped with a processor for monitoring and adjustment of parameters. The set includes: power supply, control cabinet, vacuum pump with a vacuum system, semi-continuous casting machine for bars.
Structure of the installation: a crucible; circular horizontal channel; vacuum chamber; magnetic inductor; inductor coil; work area; metal wire; scope of the electromagnet; liquid melt; crystallizer; the thermal head; trough; filter chamber; Bar.
