TRANSFER OF INNOVATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES

COMBINED METHOD OF TREATMENT OF LIQUID NONFERROUS METALS AND ALLOYS


Purpose of the development: It is used for decontamination and isolation of non-metallic inclusions and other harmful contaminants from non-ferrous metals and alloys.

Recommended application field: Production of non-ferrous metals and alloys.

Technical characteristic: Flow of neutral gas during processing 0.3-0.6 cubic meters, power - 10-15 kW / h per ton of treated metal. Expansion into vacuum chamber - 1000 mm water column

Advantages over analogues: - Multivariate schemes metal refining unchanged plant design; - Minimum capital investment in the creation and small energy costs during operation; - A significant reduction in processing time as compared to metal vacuum refining; - The possibility of handling the metal as in the liquefaction during refining, but also at elevated pressure during alloying.

The development stage readiness: The working documentation is developed

Technical and economic effect: The developed technologies ensure efficient refining of aluminum and copper alloys. For example, for aluminum alloys hydrogen removal rate is 40-80% and reaches 0,15-0,1 cc / 100g metal, thus increasing the strength and elongation of 1.1-1.3 in 1,6- 1.8.

Mobile or stationary installation consists of a degasser, depth of the plasma torch, which can also be used as tuyere for blowing a cold gas, tanks for fluxes modifiers or dopants vacuum chamber, molten metal, slag harbored on an exposed surface of the metal. The installation can be used both for an extended, and for small metal bath (melting units of different structures, holding furnaces, mixers, etc.).
