TRANSFER OF INNOVATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES

DEEP GAS MELT PROCESSING BY REAGENT ENVIRONMENT


Purpose of the development: It is used for refining, modification and alloying of liquid metal in the ladle, mixer or melting units.

Recommended application field: Foundry.

Advantages over analogues: The developed technologies provide efficient refining of aluminum and copper alloys from hydrogen and nonmetallic inclusions, thereby improving the quality of cast products: crushed alloy structure, mechanical properties and plastic properties of the metal are at vacuum. Unlike analogies offered technology allows to obtain a new technical effect in terms of improving the efficiency of the refining process (modification) alloys at economical reagent consumption for processing. Studies metal quality showed that after treatment with iron via the proposed device tehgnologii and sulfur content therein is reduced to 0.085 to 0.0075%. The degree of desulphurization wherein greater than 90%, which is 10% higher than counterparts (78%). Furthermore, when processing iron proposed device reagent consumption on desulfurization metal on 45-55% compared with known methods of refining.

The development stage readiness: Tested experimental exploitation order

Technical and economic effect: Improving the efficiency of the processes of refining and modification, increasing to 90% the efficiency of plasma heating the melt.

Description of the development:

Melt processing is carried out with inert and reactive gases, or a mixture thereof. Powder materials are fed into the recessed high temperature jet feeder particulate chunks - using special dosing reagents. Gas flow in this case is 0.3-0.6 m?, power - 10-15 kW / h per tonne of metal treated. As the concentrated heat source is used a laser, which is heated gazoreagentnuyu environment in the reaction chamber. This technology allows you to: make the most of the heat that is fed into the deeper layers of the melt with the plasma; reduce overheating of the metal in the melting units; reduce the concentration of gases in the metal, nonmetallic inclusions and harmful impurities; average temperature and chemical composition of the melt; increase the degree of assimilation of refining reactants and reduce costs through the introduction of impurities into the melt in the highly reactive state.
