BIOINERTNESS ALLOYS AND MEDICAL DEVICES
Purpose of the development:
The technology of obtaining highly refined corrosion-resistant alloys of cobalt, nickel, and titanium-based with high biological inertness and the level of performance that meet ISO-standards for alloys for medical purposes.
Recommended application field:
Cardiovascular and maxillofacial surgery, dentistry, orthodontics and orthopedics, implants, seaming material and surgical instruments.
Advantages over analogues:
Extremely high degree of refining of contaminants and gases, complete indifference materials to biological tissues, biological inertness and increased level of performance.

Description of the development:
() Smelting process involves a two-stage vacuum-induction and electron beam melting primary charge materials. This allows to obtain castings and products with an extremely high degree of refining of contaminants (sulfur, arsenic, phosphorus, lead, tin, copper, bismuth, etc.), gases (oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen) due to local high temperature melt processing that in the alloys provides the most complete indifference materials to biological tissues.
Obtaining the registration certificate of Ministry of Health of Ukraine and Ukrainian patents on two new alloy and started test cast and deformed structures for medical purposes broad functional profile.
