MODIFIED HEAT-RESISTANT LOW-ALLOY CAST IRON FOR GLASS-BLOWING
Purpose of the development:
It is used in the manufacture of glass molds for individual production as well as for conveyor production of glass.
Recommended application field:
Glass production.
Advantages over analogues:
Glass-working layer in contact with the molten glass has a thermal conductivity of 56 W / m * K, which is 25-35% higher than the high heat conductivity of gray cast iron.
The development stage readiness:
Ready for application
Description of the development:
() The developed technology involves smelting iron in an electric furnace or a cupola, its modification and heat treatment.
Iron obtained thanks to the developed technology, provides:
- Inertia to the molten glass in the temperature range of 1100-1200 ° C to 700 ° C;
- The ability to polish;
- Optimum thermal stability in long-term thermal cycling;
- High strength at elevated temperatures (140-160 MPa at a temperature up to 600 ° C):
- Hardness - HB 160-230;
- Optimal thermal conductivity.
