NEW TECHNOLOGIES OF LASER WELDING OF STRUCTURAL STEEL
Purpose of the development:
The new technology is designed for laser welding of volumetric honeycomb panels, pipes (including rotating and non-rotating joints), different thickness workpieces, high-speed welding of thin sheets, etc.
Recommended application field:
Shipbuilding, automotive, railway and others. Industries.
Advantages over analogues:
Metallographic tests and mechanical tests showed improved quality of the obtained seams as compared with conventional laser welding, a shielding gas.

Description of the development:
() To improve the quality of laser welding of structural steels developed new technologies using additional processing methods: laser welding on the layer of flux, laser welding with filler wire and hybrid laser welding with welding consumable electrode CO2. The developed technology allows for welding in different positions. The thickness of the weldable structural steel is between 0.8 ... 10.0 mm. The power range of the laser - 1.5 ... 4.0 kW. Welding speed - 60 ... 600 m / h in the case of hybrid welding - 40 ... 450 m / h, when conditions arc welding I = 90 ... 160 A, U = 22 ... 26 V. A necessary tooling.
