The success of the operations in microsurgery in many respects depends on the severity of the cutting tool, which depends primarily on the hardness of the blade material. The diamond is very expensive. Sapphire, in turn, is the second material hardness after diamond. Developer offers micro scalpels and abdominal scalpels of all kinds made of colorless and blue sapphire. For some operations, which are conducted under the microscope, it is convenient to use a contrasting micro scalpels made of blue sapphire. Also, a new sapphire scalpel with laser illumination. Transparent sapphire blade possible to realize a unique opportunity - to introduce the laser beam through a flexible single-mode optical fiber and the blade directly into the cutting zone. In addition to the therapeutic effect (bactericidal, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, decongestant, immunocorrective and desensitizing effect) and better visualization of the edge of the edge of the opportunity at the same time highlight and identify the exact location of capillary blood vessels, nerves and other anatomical structures in the area of ??the cut and the direction of travel of the blade, more accurate dosing depth of cut.
