PASSIVE COMPONENTS OF THE LASER OPTICS


Purpose of the development: Designed and manufactured sensors and modulators of the transmitted laser radiation on optical elements of ZnSe.

Recommended application field: Crystals of ZnSe used for making passive components IR optical power in a range of 0.5 ... 20 m.

Technical characteristic: 1. Dimensions in mm: diameter / width: 10-50; thickness: 5-20. 2. Accuracy of manufacturing, mm: for overall dimensions: ± 0,05; thickness: ± 0.05. 3. Cracks, inclusions, visible in polarized light: not allowed. 4. Flatness: <= 2-3 h at a length of 20 mm (h = 633 nm). 5. The polished surface roughness (Ra), A: from 2 to 100. 6. The quality of the polished surface of standard MIL-0-13830 USA: S / D-80/50, 60/40, 40/20, 20/10. 7. Transmittance (%): IR spectral region (2-12 microns) of about 70. 8. Laser strength kW / cm (h = 10,6 mm): 100.

Advantages over analogues: A particular advantage of ZnSe is its transparency in the visible region of the spectrum, which greatly simplifies the configuration of the optical system in comparison with systems based on Ge, Si and GaAs.

ZnSe представляет собой универсальный материал для ИК-оптики (например, мощных CO2-лазеров). Основанием для этого служат его низкое оптическое поглощение в этом диапазоне, высокая лучевая прочность, механическая и химическая стойкость. Монокристаллический ZnSe имеет более широкий круг применений, чем поликристаллический CVD-материал, например, датчики и модуляторы проходящего лазерного излучения на основе оптических элементов.
