Recommended application field: - Wear resistant coatings with low coefficient for friction elements of the machine parts in cutting tools industry, machinery, textile industry etc; - multicomponent wear resistant coatings on the base of nitrides, carbides, oxides or their mixtures for hardening of the precision tools, compressor and aviation engine blades; - biologically inert coatings, optically transparent, dielectric, corrosion resistant coatings, chemically inert coatings for optics, electronics, chemical machinery.

Technical characteristic: - Output ion current for the arc current 100А - 5А; - diameter of the coating - 180 mm with the thickness deviation ± 5%; - Ti coating deposition rate is 20 micrometers/h (distance from the filter exit is 150 mm).

Advantages over analogues: 1. Functional advantages: 1.5-2 times increase in equipment productivity. Steady coating thickness with ± 5% deviation. Exclusion of the polishing of surface after coating deposition. 2. Performance advantages: Stability of the source irrespective of the cathode burn level. Simple design. 3. Finance advantages: Cutting of costs due to productivity increase. Cutting of costs due to the exclusion of surface polishing. Smaller metal content in comparison with the curvilinear filters.

Realization of the vacuum acr cathode method in industrial equipment for coating deposition is restricted by drop phase generated by the cathode spot of the vacuum arc and low productivity of existing filter system cleaning plasma row from drops and macroparticles. Specific configuration of magnetic field, deflection system and traps of macro particles are realized in the plasma source for high productivity and high quality of coatings deposited on industrial equipment for coating deposition.
