Purpose of the development: It proposed the development of medical devices in the form of anti-burn agent based on melanin nanoparticles.

Recommended application field: Manufacturing dermotropic funds.

Advantages over analogues: We prove that melanin is a powerful antioxidant known natural remedies. It prevents the degradation of collagen fibers and enhances microcirculation. Healing takes place without the formation of rough scars.

The development stage readiness: tested in laboratory condition

Technical and economic effect: Given the irregularities in / antioxidant balance, increased inflammatory processes in the skin under the conditions of thermal injuries and the lack of effective, non-toxic anti-burn domestic production resources, development relevance is not in doubt. Moreover, the cycle of production facilities will be fully in Ukraine that will strengthen the industrial and economic potential of the state. Type of desired partner - organizations (mainly research) which take part in the development and production of new foundations for dermotropic funds. Melanin is the product of a biotechnological process. Producers have melanin black yeast Nadsonielanigra strain X-1, sown with vertical cliffs on. Galindez Argentine archipelago (Ukrainian Antarctic Station "Academic Vernadsky"). Melanin are high molecular weight compounds formed by oxidative conversion of the amino acid tyrosine. They are characterized by the presence within their structure of an unpaired electron, and have the properties of stable free radicals. Thanks to this feature melanin are able to neutralize reactive oxygen species produced in the body when exposed to negative factors. Melanin also involved in DNA repair processes, the functioning of the respiratory chain as an electron acceptor, they are modulators of these important systems of cellular metabolism as a photo and radioprotection. Thus, the melanins act as natural antioxidants.
