Purpose of the development: Nonlinear surge suppressors (OPN) OPN Series / TEL intended for use as the primary means of protection of electrical stations and networks in medium-voltage AC power frequency 48-62 Hz from switching and lightning surges. With their design were used the latest technological advances and operating experience of OPN in domestic and foreign practice. Limiters are recommended instead of the gate voltage fuses respective classes in the design, operation, modernization and reconstruction of electrical installations.

Technical and economic effect: All types of arrester / TEL are designed to operate under the following conditions: Altitude: 1000 m; Temperature: -60 ° C to +55 ° C. Series OPN / TEL includes two types of commercially manufactured limiters: ARF-KR / TEL designed for reliable protection of electrical networks 6-10 kV voltage class with isolated or compensated neutral. Recommended for use in distribution networks for the protection of transformers and motors. They are made for indoor and outdoor installation (NF1 and 2 in accordance with GOST 15150). ARF-PT / TEL designed to guarantee protection of the most responsible in the electrical network voltage class 3-10 kV with isolated or compensated neutral. Surge arresters type-PT / TEL-3 are designed to protect the rectifier traction substations of electrified railways and other electrical equipment voltage class 3 kV (eg, linear filters of overhead power lines). Other types of ARF-PT / TEL is recommended for conditions of frequent and intensive impacts surge protection for transformers of electric arc furnaces, insulation of cable systems, electric generators, motors, etc. They are made for indoor installation (UHL2 GOST 15150).
