The raw material enters the drum, the rubbish is divided when the grain is passing through the drum sieves and later is overtailed from the cylinder. The scalperator (precleaner) is necessary for normal dryer’s operation to prevent clogging and reduce the energy consumption that is consumed for drying the product, and also for selection of random items that can cause damage to vehicle equipment. The diameter of sieve perforations depends on the treated grain, its humidity and type of rubbish removed. If necessary, the first sieve may be used to remove fine contaminants. Scalperator can be equipped with a pneumatic separator (aspirator) in two versions: an open cycle air BCH or closed circuit BCЗ, which is mounted on the separator following the LUCH ЗСО principle.
