Purpose of the development: The grain destoner SMA (ОМП- separation of mineral admixtures), manufactured by OLIS, LLC is used to separate effectively mineral admixtures from continuously flowing grains in grain handling facilities.

The grain destoner operates by doing each of the following: on combined exposure to vibrations of the separating surface and the airflow, a bed of grain is loosened up, with the coefficient of internal friction being decreased and the grain mass being fluidized. If aerated, the semi-fluidized bed of grain, almost nonexposed to the transport impact of deck, flows fluidlike on the downgrade and is off-loaded to the lower, wider part of deck. The heavy mineral particles in the lower bed, which have the tightest bond to the textured separating surface, are delivered up the slant of deck and dumped through the narrow upper part.
