STUDY OF LIVING CONDITIONS AND CRITERIA FOR THE IDENTIFICATION HYDRODYNAMIC SOLITONS AND OTHER TYPES NEAR-CRITICAL CURRENTS


Purpose of the development: The development is designed to study a special class of differential equations describing some critical flow, as well as to determine the conditions of existence of mathematical hydrodynamic soliton is a solitary wave, cnoidal waves wavy jump and other types of this class of fluid flows.

Recommended application field: The scope of use of the results refers to those sectors of the economy and management: hydropower, hydraulic engineering, water management. Among the various types of hydropower and hydraulic structures, within which are formed near-critical flow, it is necessary to allocate channels, free-flow tunnels, hydroelectric and tailrace spillway. Designing such facilities is carried out on the basis of calculations of hydraulic characteristics of created phenomena. Stages of application: design, construction and operation of facilities.

In the development of the research carried out insufficiently studied a special class of hydraulic phenomena generated at typical depths and velocities close to the critical values. In the framework of this general problem is considered a fundamental task of studying a particular degree of slope and curvature of the elementary streams in the initial section of these flows, and the impact of these factors on living conditions and the basic characteristics of the different types of near-critical currents.
