Antiseptic function: the composition of the solution provides the ability to add a variety of medications - both in the content of the hydrogel, and the outer surface is already dressing. 5. Pass through the water itself, so that if a bandage to pour liquid medications, analgesics, hemostatic, antiseptic and other means, they are free to seep into the wound or burn. 6. The protective function: the microbes to reach the affected site can not, because their dimensions are larger than the mesh size of the material. 7. Proposed against burn dressings are based on hydrogels "sewn" by means of radiation. The method "crosslinking" is to provide a three-dimensional mesh of polymer molecules in aqueous solution - under the influence of electrons accelerated to the speed of light. Bandage material is an elastic film thickness of 3-5 mm from the jelly-like sterile and biocompatible with the tissues of a material consisting of 80-90% of the liquid. Essentially, this polymeric sponge with a mesh size of less than 1 micron. It retains water but does not pass bacteria.
