Purpose of the development: Ukrainian scientists have developed a new technology for diagnosis and treatment of strabismus in children with so-called microprism compensators, which allows in most cases to avoid surgical intervention and to achieve 100 per cent recovery of view.

Methods of treatment of strabismus using microprisms existed before, but the problem was that she microprisms, which is pasted on top of the glasses was soft and, given the technology of its manufacture, providing a relatively low level of - a child in such glasses could see about 50 percent . Scientists were able to make the tough microprisms of a quality that allows the child to achieve a 100 percent view. Also it invented special glue paste which allows the microprisms on therapeutic points so that it has no effect on visual acuity, i.e. it remains as high as possible. Thanks to this development has created a new technique and a special line for the accurate diagnosis of strabismus in children, which can provide every ophthalmologist. The development has been implemented in production in China. The Institute is interested in the implementation of the developed models into the process of the customer.
