CAPSULE FOR RESCUE AT PLANE CRASH


Purpose of the development: Ukrainian aviation engineer has invented a capsule, which can provide virtually guaranteed the salvation of all passengers and crew in a plane crash in the air at takeoff and landing.

Recommended application field: Aircraft.

Advantages over analogues: Analogues in the world. Capsule with seating for passengers and crew can jump out of the aircraft fuselage through the rear hatch in 2-3 seconds and provides almost one hundred percent recovery. The idea proposed capsules are not new, but the lack of previous engineering solutions is that they are invited to use subversive cutting plane body, leading to irreversible damage and the impossibility of further use of the aircraft, as well as the risk of damage to, or destruction of depressurization of the capsule itself.

The idea of ??the rescue capsule appeared for a long time, but only recently appeared super-lightweight and durable materials, from which it can produce - carbon fiber. The mechanism of action of salvation is as follows: the concept of the capsule with seating for passengers and crew must depart from the fuselage of the aircraft through the rear hatch in 2-3 seconds. At the beginning of the plane is pushed a little parachute, he pulls a large, which pulls the capsule itself. The capsule can only be installed on aircraft models, which in the rear there is a place to hatch capable skip large objects, that is, for Boeing or Airbus, this development does not fit. Capsule flies at a speed of 8-9 m / s, in the design of a sensor which determines the distance to the surface. When the distance is reduced, the powder included engines, they inhibit the container - as a result he lands with zero velocity. The capsule, which can be installed on production models of aircraft - the first step of the invention. The second - the creation of new models of aircraft equipped with such capsules initially. And if in the first case, when the capsule is installed in an existing model of the aircraft, it becomes harder, the second of its weight does not change. The total time required to implement the first phase of the project - about four years. Two years to develop and test a half to two years for a certificate of airworthiness by ICAO. The estimated cost of this phase - about $ 1 million.
