DIESEL FUEL FROM FIELD


Purpose of the development: Designed to power diesel engines.

Recommended application field: Diesel engines for agricultural machinery (tractors, diesel generators) and urban transport. Engines installed on vehicles in areas with high environmental requirements.

Advantages over analogues: Benefits: - Lack of farms depending on the supply of diesel fuel; - Improved economic performance diesel (CAP) to 6%; - Improve lubricity, which increases the service life of the fuel equipment; - It has a high ignition temperature (above 100 degrees C), which reduces the fire risk; - Compatible with diesel fuel in any proportions; - Biological safety and no harmful effects on the environment with leaking (decomposition in vivo). The disadvantage of biodiesel - high pour point which limits its use to 0 degrees C, and the mixture was 10-30% with diesel fuel to minus 10 degrees C.

The authors have developed "fuel" rotations, allowing to increase production of the oils per unit area. In Lugansk region may receive per hectare for growing oilseeds from 300 to 1000 kg of oil equivalent receivable from 282 to 940 liters of diesel fuel. Features of technology lies in the fact that the use of monoculture (eg rape) leads to negative results (reduction in yield, pest damage). For this reason, the Department of "Agriculture" LNAU and developed "fuel" rotations designed for different regions of Ukraine. The resulting oil are processed. Alcohol is added to the oil and alkali and heated at a temperature of 70-90 degrees C for 1-2 hours. Get glycerin and biodiesel, which are washed and vacuum distillation. Planned production of biodiesel is about 500 tons per month.
