COMMERCIAL INTRODUCTION OF FULL TECHNOLOGICAL CYCLE OF BIODIESEL FROM REDDISH


Purpose of the development: Ukrainian scientists developed and tested industrial technology to produce biodiesel from reddish.

Recommended application field: Agriculture, fuel and energy sector.

Advantages over analogues: New high-grade reddish capable of producing 3-4 tons of seeds per hectare with an oil content of 45-50%. The yield is 1-1.4 tonnes of biodiesel per hectare, and the profit per hectare - to 8 thousand of hryvnia.

The development stage readiness: Tested experimental exploitation order

Technical and economic effect: - Partial conversion to alternative fuel mixtures will reduce oil imports by several million tons per year; - Ensuring the development of agro-industrial complex; - Reduction of carbon dioxide emissions in accordance with the requirements of the Kyoto Protocol; - Improving the environmental situation.

Biodiesel - a fuel that is produced from fats of vegetable and animal origin. Current biodiesel production provides high emission of harmful substances, the traditional methanol diesel is mediocre physico-chemical and environmental characteristics. Ukrainian scientists have created a new high-yield varieties reddish, yields of more than 3 t / ha. Red spring has high adaptive capacity, short growing season, it has a high cooling and drought. Can vegetate until late fall and continue supply of raw materials for 3-4 weeks. The scientists also tested industrial technology to produce biodiesel and completed a comprehensive assessment work reddish gene pool. Already established research and industrial production line fuel capacity of 1 ton of biodiesel per day. The project is now seeking investment to build a pilot plant, procurement of raw materials, research and development documentation. The estimated cost of this work amounts to 4.5-5 million hryvnia.
