MICROBIAL BIOTECHNOLOGY FOR INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT FROM A WIDE RANGE OF TOXIC METALS


Purpose of the development: Ukrainian Institute has developed a technology for the treatment of industrial waste from a wide range of toxic metals via microbial drug.

Recommended application field: Mining mills for the extraction of precious metals (gold, silver), electroplating enterprises, metallurgical enterprises.

Advantages over analogues: - ensuring the effective removal of metals from waste water; - reducing the cost of "environmental penalties"; - multiple reduction in operational costs, or expensive purification technology; - obtaining a concentrate of valuable non-ferrous metals; - receiving the purified water for use in a closed process cycle; - profitability and "environmental friendliness" of industrial enterprises associated with technological cycle of metal wastewater. The development has no analogues in the world - both in performance and cost.

At present, there are no environmental technologies that provide clean industrial wastewater from a wide range of metals. Any Biotechnology unable to purify waste water at concentrations of metals, which are part of the wastewater. But it is capable of microbial biotechnology.
