MICROBIAL BIOTECHNOLOGY FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT OF CONCENTRATED SOLUBLE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS TO FORM A "GREEN" WATER
Purpose of the development:
Ukrainian Institute has developed a technology that allows to purify waste water from organic compounds even in such a concentration that will not cope with biological treatment facilities. The result is clean water.
Recommended application field:
Food industry associated with the formation of concentrated soluble organic compounds; Environmentally sound management of toxic filtrates of megacities; Livestock.
Advantages over analogues:
- there are no analogues in the world - both in efficiency and cost;
- ability to work with the ultra-high concentration of soluble organic compounds;

Description of the development:
() To date, no environmental technologies, providing treatment of industrial wastewater from concentrated organic compounds. Their high concentration makes it impossible to clean wastewater by biological treatment facilities, resulting in a continuous environmental pollution.
Microbial Biotechnology allows high efficiency to reduce the soluble organic compounds concentrated tens and hundreds of thousands of up to 20-50 mg / l. Her test sewage Ukrainian Antarctic Station "Academic Vernadsky" showed that the concentration of soluble compounds decreased from 10,000-20,000 mg / l to 50 mg / l.
The technology - metabolic and spatial succession of microbial communities. Properties Technology: destruction of organic compounds in the flow unit; rapid anaerobic digestion of organic compounds; oxidation of residual organic compounds to a final concentration of 20-50 mg / l.
Making the installation and testing technology "custom" waste water will cost 200 thousand dollars, the estimated cost of completion - 100-200 thousand dollars.
