TECHNOLOGICAL INSTALLATIONS FOR HARDENING OF CYLINDRICAL PRODUCTS TCU-1


Purpose of the development: The unit is designed for differential strengthening and improving the wear resistance of sleeves (again produced and rebuilding worn) internal combustion engines using induction heating by high frequency (HDTV). It is advisable to use a generator for the high frequency surface hardening liners with a frequency of 66-100 kHz. The depth of the hardened layer surface of the inner sleeve at a given frequency is 1.5-2.5 mm, which has a positive effect on the quality of the hardened liner (no cracks, no deformation, torsion, etc.). On the surface hardening consumes significantly less power than in the deep.

Recommended application field: The installation can be used on plants producing liners of internal combustion engines (ICEs), in order to increase the service life by improving the strength, hardness and wear liners made of cast iron and steel.

Technical characteristic: The heating temperature of the sleeve: - at the bottom dead center - about 600C * - at the top dead center - about 1050C * The speed of movement of the sleeve relative to the inductor: - at the bottom dead center - 5.5 mm / s - at TDC - 0.57 mm / s The rotational speed of the sleeve during quenching - about 1.0 / s Power Generator HDTV - 100-120 kW The optimum temperature hardening - 950-1050S * Low temperature release: - cast-iron liners - 160-200S * - steel liners - 620-640S * Reducing the inner diameter of the sleeve (precipitation): - at the bottom dead center - 0.1 mm - at the top dead center - 1.0 mm The increase in hardness after heat treatment sleeves microwave: - in cast iron liners - 4150 HB - in steel case - HB 6010 Increased hardness liners compared with the hardness of the parent metal: - in cast iron sleeves - 2.4 times - in steel sleeves - 2.7 times

Advantages over analogues: The analogue differential processing of high-frequency induction liners ICE is a thermochemical treatment - the process of saturation of the metal surface by the various elements of their diffusion from the environment at a high temperature. Advantages over analogues of the following: - processing is carried DIC differential liners (1/3 of the height of the sleeve), while the chemical and thermal processing takes 100% of the height of the product; - duration of the heat treatment with induction heating HDTV takes 6 minutes. for one of the liner, while the saturation of the elements in the chemical-thermal processing of spent 1,5 ... 15 h .; - the proposed heat treatment process provides significant economic effect, since the processing takes less time and energy.

Structurally, the unit has a large mass (about 40 kg), compact, made any prefix generator HDTV. From practice it is known that the maximum wear sleeve (cast iron or steel) begins with the upper dead point on the plot at half the height of the sleeve, and in the region of bottom dead center of the sleeve there is practically no wear. It is recommended not to harden the sleeve portion 20-30 mm from the ends to avoid the formation of cracks and deformation of the sleeve after the heat treatment. After quenching, a structure of the heating surface - martensite, characterized acicular structure, high hardness, and thus wear resistance and sleeves.
