THYRISTOR RECTIFIER CONTROL UNIT (RC-S AND RC-D)


Purpose of the development: The device is designed to control a reversible or irreversible controlled three-phase thyristor rectifier in the current and voltage stabilization modes and to control the triggering angle with the linearization of the regulation characteristics, and for the power control of three-phase heaters and other processes which need the regulation of the effective value of the output voltage.

The Thyristor Rectifier Control Device available in two versions: RC-S is to control one group of thyristors (non-reversible rectifier), RC-D is to control two groups of thyristors (reversible rectifier). The models, RC-SL and RC-DL designed for work in rectifiers with output voltages 6, 12, 24 and 48 volts, using of power step-down transformer connected between power supply and rectifier bridge. For work in rectifiers with higher output voltages, it is necessary to use control units, RC-SH and RC-DH, with galvanic isolation module of the output voltage/current sensor. Device designed as form of block in a sealed plastic box, and allow operate in wet and aggressive conditions of electroplating facilities. All external connections of unit are demountable and do not require soldering, which make installation more simple and reduce time of the device commissioning. Device has a protection system with an indication on the external connected LED indicators. When protection activated, corresponding digital output which can also be used to monitor the status of the rectifier by the control device of the upper rank.
