Purpose of the development: Ukrainian Institute has created a non-invasive photometric globinometer designed for rapid analysis of hemoglobin in the blood level of the intact method - by applying a sensor to a hand.

Recommended application field: Family medicine, clinics and laboratories, a review of large groups of people for the diagnosis of anemia.

Advantages over analogues: - reduces the time measurement; - improving the accuracy of measurements; - relatively low cost (about $ 650); - no need for the collection of blood; - ease of use; - the lack of blood in the manufacture of the prepared solution needs; - suitable for primary diagnosis.

Devices for determination of hemoglobin level require blood sampling and preparation of drugs. To avoid this, the photometric globinometer can be used, but it is not sufficiently accurate, especially at low levels of hemoglobin. Ukrainian scientists, changing the design of the optical sensor, created a new device that allows to obtain more accurate data. This requires only a touch sensor to the body, and after a few seconds on the laptop screen will appear with the data column. Already conducted metrological certification of the device, patent pending and conducted comparative tests. The total amount of investment needed to create stand equipment for setting up and testing of the product, as well as the establishment of production at the plant is 25 thousand USD Payback period -.. 2 years.
