PHYTO CLEANING OF OIL-CONTAMINATED SOIL


Purpose of the development: Ukrainian University has developed a method of biogenic waste oil and refining industry to reduce the time of alienation of land.

Recommended application field: Resource recovery technologies. Oil-producing and refining companies.

Advantages over analogues: - short-haired sedge plants are tolerant to oil pollution, survive and capture the territory with the concentration of oil in the soil of 98 g / kg; - the proposed method allows you to restore phyto cleaning of soil, physical and chemical properties of the soil (acidity, air-water balance, etc.) In the course of the year; - rhizomes short-haired sedges help restore the number of soil microflora (saprophyte, microscopic fungi and yeasts, propionic acid, cellulose-destroying bacteria and nitrifying oligonitrophilic); - the use of this method allows you to restore the natural ecotopes in the shortest possible time at the lowest cost.

For the purpose of remediation of oil-contaminated soil is provided a method of their biotic purification using sedge plants shortly hairy (Carex hirta L.). Plants Carex hirta dig with a lump of soil from ecologically clean areas, packed in bags soak, which is made in the prepared soil. Before planter mechanically loosen the soil and watered. Planting can be carried out during the calendar year. Existing methods of soil purification require significant logistics costs, it is a long time and do not provide the complete elimination of petrochemical pollution. The proposed method of phyto cleaning of soil is cheap, affordable, environmentally friendly measure, which significantly accelerates the recovery processes of degraded soils and natural ecotopes for their possible reuse.
