"CARBON" - CARBON HEMOSORBENT OF NEW GENERATION


Purpose of the development: Hemosorbent "Carbon" is designed to clean the blood in acute and chronic renal failure, hepatic coma, acute poisoning by toxins of different nature. It is effective as a therapeutic agent in toxicosis caused by inflammation and tissue collapse, in particular, peritonitis, pancreatitis, sepsis, burns, certain skin diseases and mental. It is also useful to combine with other methods of reducing the auxiliary detoxification therapy in organ transplant patients.

Advantages over analogues: Thanks to the original scientific and technological solutions hemosorbents "Carbon" is very well developed pore structure and increased (compared to peers materials) the strength of the pellets, which eliminates the possibility of getting carbon microparticles in the bloodstream. Specific surface hemosorbents "carbonyl" is in the range of 1800-2400 m / g and the pore diameter may be set at intervals of 2-40 nm. This allows efficient output of blood at hemosorption not only small molecules (creatinine Urinova acid, bilirubin), but also harmful substances of higher molecular mass (lipids, lipoprotein complexes, and other harmful oligopeptides average molecule, protein and lipopolysaccharide toxins). This blood cells are not injured, and their number after hemosorption procedure is almost unchanged. According to the results of comparative clinical trials hemosorbent "Carbon" has demonstrated the most pronounced among commercial carbon hemosorbents (such as VNIITU, TETRA, SKT-2K, SKN, HSGD) CIS sorption capacity and deligandizished activity against various classes of hydrophobic and hydrophilic metabolites.

Ukrainian Institute together with partners from Belarus performed a comprehensive innovation project "Development and Production of sorption columns for the purification of blood outside the body," which provided for the creation of technology and production of experimental batches of carbon hemosorbent "CARBON" on the basis of available global market base of hydrocarbons - pyrolyzed shell coconut. In the manufacture of experimental batches hemosorption masoobmennikov upgraded dialyzers used, in particular, six standard sizes of these devices commercially available for hemodialysis procedures. On the basis of these dialyzers speakers registered in the Republic of Belarus under the brand name "GEMOSBEL-K." Carbon hemosorbent "CARBON" to fill the column was developed in Ukraine. Implemented preclinical and clinical testing of six types of mass transfer devices for hemoperfusion "GEMOSBEL-K" and has received Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus authorized to manufacture, sale and use of the territory of the Republic of Belarus devices "GEMOSBEL-K" with the use of carbon adsorbent "carbonyl" as the hemosorbent. In carrying out an innovative project has also developed a business plan for the organization of production of sorption columns for the purification of blood outside the body in one of the pharmaceutical companies in Ukraine. Organization of industrial production of sorption columns should be carried out in two stages (2016-2017). In the first phase the volume of production and sales should reach 25 thousand, the second (from 2018). 50 thousand sorption columns in the year.
