Purpose of the development: The biological insecticide intestinal actions "Lepidocide" is used when checking the order Lepidoptera pests (Lepidoptera).

Recommended application field: Various agricultural lands.

Technical characteristic: Physical form: light brown liquid. Ingredients: Bacillus thuringiensis spores and bacteria. The number of viable cells: not less than 2.0 x 10 in 9 CFU / ml. Shelf life: 3 months at temperature from +4 to + 10 ° C in a dark place. Safety: the drug is harmless to humans, warm-blooded animals, insects, environment. It does not possess phytotoxicity. Packaging: 5 canister volume, 10 l.

Advantages over analogues: - it has a high parasitic activity against larvae of Lepidoptera pests; - combined with most chemicals (herbicides), as well as soluble forms of macro- and micronutrients; - it does not have phytotoxicity to the crop plants; - the active drug substance does not decompose at elevated air temperatures (over 26-28 ° C), in contrast to chemical insecticides; - the lack of resistance to the drug; - keeps the population of useful entomophags; - does not affect the taste, is not accumulated in the plant and soil; - used in any phase of plant development, which is especially important during flowering during pollination by insects, before harvest, in the places of compact residence of man in nature and resort areas; - it has a selective activity against insect pests.

The insecticidal effect of the drug is based on two mechanisms. The spores of Bacillus thuringiensis, a part of the drug "Lepidocide", after being hit in the gut germinate and penetrate the intestinal wall, falling into the hemolymph. The hemolymph of bacteria actively proliferate, causing septicemia and death of the insect. The second mechanism is based on the accumulation of the drug in liquid culture "Lepidocide" toxins in the drug development process. Bacterial toxins are under the influence of intestinal alkaline digestive juices pass into an active form, causing paralysis of intestine medium and then total paralysis, which leads to the death of the insect.
