Purpose of the development: Volumetric optical crystals of germanium-doped sodium - a new material for the production of infrared technology.

Recommended application field: Plates of optical germanium can be used to create optical systems of military, aerospace, aviation and other industries.

Advantages over analogues: Crystals of this material were tested in enterprises around the world: the superiority of their optical characteristics compared to conventional optical germanium confirmed by special measurements.

Ukrainian Institute developed and implemented in-house production of the patented technology to create in Ukraine a new material infrared technology - optical bulk crystals of germanium doped with sodium, the preparation of which was previously thought to be impossible. The developer is the only Ukrainian producer of optical germanium and the world's only producer of germanium doped with sodium. Unique products of optical germanium-doped sodium - a large area of ??the plate, created and produced on the equipment of the complex institute - included Ukrainian tanks, "Hold" (in night detection, guidance and targeting).
