ADAPTIVE SAND LOCOMOTIVE SYSTEM TYPE BLOCK-MODULAR


Purpose of the development: Working refers to rail and can be used on locomotives equipped with devices for feeding sand under their wheels to increase the coefficient of friction of the wheels with the rails.

Recommended application field: Enterprise engineering and construction industry organizations involved in carrying out research and development work on the creation of the vehicle-locomotives in the design of advanced diesel locomotives, electric locomotives and diesel trains for domestic and foreign railways.

Technical and economic effect: Projected calculation of economic efficiency in the production of the proposed system is one section of the locomotive - 35 thousand UAH.. The use of the proposed system can reduce the wear and tear of wheels and rails by 20-25%, and sand costs 2.5-3 times that of the park locomotives amount of 45 units will be about 94 thousand. UAH.

Created adaptive supply sand locomotive modular type. She repeats virtually all movement of the wheel by mounting the rubber tip and pipe with a bracket on the wing axle box truck for accurate dispensing of sand. Free running wheelset relative to the journal box is 2 mm, allowing the tip fixed to the journal box, perform the movement with a smaller amplitude than the fitting on the trolley frame, and compensate for this displacement angle spraying sand-air jet. Thus the sand hopper suspended from the joists (bogie frame) using a special flexible or resilient elements (coil springs, leaf springs, rubber elements), and the connection between the nozzle and the hopper applied rubber bellows unit, to compensate for the movement of the hopper. Application of the proposed sand system will provide high traction and braking qualities of the locomotive.
