Purpose of the development: Ukrainian Institute has developed and implemented the technology and equipment for welding tubular parts made of carbon, low-alloy, high-strength, heat-resistant steels in various industries and construction.

Recommended application field: - automotive; - machine building; - construction of pipelines; - welding the pipes to the different field conditions; - industry, where it is necessary to use a butt weld pipe fittings, plugs and others.

Technical characteristic: - pipe welding time d 57x3mm - 7s, d 51x3 mm - 14 s, d 250 mm - 41 s (cooked more than 20 000 km of pipelines for the thermal stabilization of soil in the permafrost and construction of greenhouses); - welding of automotive parts (cooked more than 6 million automotive parts); - welding hydraulic pipes with fittings for construction machines; - welding of high strength pipes X70; - welding heat-resistant steel; - welding gas cylinders and counters.

Advantages over analogues: - high performance welding process; - short welding time compared to other processes; - tightness of welded joints; - welding consumables and expendable gas is not needed; - the strength properties of the weld joint at the level of the base metal; - monitoring and recording of the main parameters of the welding process; - automation of the welding process. The aren't analogues in Ukraine.

The development stage readiness: Introduced in production

Technical and economic effect: The introduction of the technology and equipment in the field during the construction of the object 1 hectare will: - raise labor productivity by 5.7 times; - save more than 2000 kg of electrodes; - reduce the cost of electricity by 6.2 thousand kW.. h.; - significantly improve working conditions.

The introduction of technology will reduce the cost of production (by reducing labor costs, reducing the time to obtain results, unnecessary consumables) and to increase competitiveness due to the possibility of welding in difficult conditions.
