Modulated reflective array (RA) belongs to the class of planar phased AP to form highly directional emission of electromagnetic fields on the normal to the aperture. The elements of this AP are shorted segments of rectangular waveguides, the length of which is chosen from the condition providing common-mode electromagnetic field distribution on the surface of its aperture in the exposure mode it a point source located at the focus of AR.
