Purpose of the development: The model relates to an optical instrument engineering, solar engineering, light engineering and can be used in optical systems, focusing in the production of curved reflective surface, for example in the manufacture of optical surfaces mirror the elements of adaptive optics, telescopes, solar concentrator.

Recommended application field: The model can be used in the focusing optical systems in the manufacture of curved reflecting surfaces, for example in the manufacture of optical surfaces of the mirrors, adaptive optics elements, telescopes, solar concentrator.

Technical characteristic: Large diameter of reflector comprises: a reflector body; a metallized polymer film; ring which pulls the film through screws; fitting with nipple valve and pressure gauge; fitting with pressure gauge and valve; strength steel frame; turntable; bearings; Geared motor; switch. The entire structure is mounted on a steel support frame.

Advantages over analogues: The advantages of the spherical reflector in front of peers is to increase the geometric accuracy of the surface (spherical) reflector, the quality and accuracy of the focus of the reflecting surface at more efficient use of incident light, easy construction, the possibility of manufacturing large diameter reflector. If you are using a spherical reflector in the large-diameter optical astronomy, there is a real opportunity to create a telescope with a light mobile primary mirror (reflector) to 100 meters, in contrast to existing today with a diameter of 10 meters, which will lead to a breakthrough in optical astronomy.

Technical and economic effect: When using a reflector as a heating device may receive power (in the summer, in the middle latitudes) to 1 kW / m2 ie 7850 kW with a mirror diameter of 100 m.
