THERMOELECTRIC GENERATOR OF EXHAUST MANIFOLD OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE


Purpose of the development: The use of thermoelectric generator exhaust manifold will increase the efficiency of the internal combustion engine by utilizing the heat, reduce the load on the battery during the starting part of the engine stops, minimize the impact of exhaust gases on the environment by reducing the temperature of the gases emerging from the exhaust pipe.

Recommended application field: The utility model relates to engine, namely the silencer internal combustion engine and a thermoelectric energy converter.

Advantages over analogues: The model is based on the task of simplifying the thermopile structure made on the engine exhaust system and method for its manufacture, using power obtained from the heat utilized to start the internal combustion engine.

The thermoelectric generator of an internal combustion engine exhaust manifold is made as a ceramic tube. On the outer surface of the exhaust manifold mounted thermocouple wires from alloys of polymorphic, which formed regions with different crystal structure, connected to the thermopile hot and cold areas, between which there is a thermal insulator, and the conclusions of the thermopile connected three-position toggle switch, start capacitor, starter motor.
